AECOM Condition Assessment and Rehabilitation Manager in Markham, Ontario

Job Summary

AECOM is currently seeking a senior experienced professional to serve as the Condition Assessment and Rehabilitation Manager for our Conveyance group in Ontario.

The role will be based preferably out of one of our GTA or surrounding area (Mississauga, Markham, Richmond Hill or Whitby) offices.

AECOM’s Conveyance Group is responsible for the condition assessment and rehabilitation design for linear infrastructure; as well as, design of new storm and sanitary sewer systems, transmission and distribution watermains.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Plan, direct and coordinate the business development activities for the group

  • Hire, manage and develop staff to maximum potential

  • Establish strategy and tactical plans to increase our growth and market share in Ontario

  • Responsible and accountable for business development expenditures and results in our Market Sector in Ontario, with specific emphasis on sales measured by revenue, backlog growth, capture rate, capture rate efficiency, and win rate

  • Drive continuous improvement in pipeline management, capture management and sales with a focus on the conveyance markets and Clients in Ontario

  • Coordinate pursuit activities with other Market Sectors and Senior Leadership at the District and Regional levels

  • Support proposal development for Conveyance opportunities

  • Maintain effective and ongoing communication with staff, management and our Clients

  • Develop and maintain strategy to ensure effective and ongoing communication between staff and our existing and new Clients

  • Manage large (>$5M fees) multi-disciplinary Conveyance projects, as needed

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree + 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or related field

  • 10+ years of experience in municipal infrastructure design, ideally in consulting engineering

  • Experience in municipal infrastructure and asset management project management and/or business development.

  • Demonstrated experience in development of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), scheduling and schedule analysis, cost estimating and cost control, budget development, reporting and record/document control

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Demonstrated leadership skills and strong track record with major municipal clients in Ontario and business development in the Ontario Conveyance Market specifically

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, problem solving, analytical skills and business acumen

  • Certification such as PMP, CCE or related certifications are desirable
