AECOM Electronics Techn- Maint II in Mannheim, Germany

Job Summary

AECOM is now hiring Electronic Technician for our Mannheim Germany site location!

The technician inspects, analyzes and diagnoses a variety of communications and electronic equipment using various testing meters and devices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Tests circuits, tubes and allied parts; isolates defects and makes shop and field repairs; adjusts, alters and adapts radio and other electronic equipment to meet specific needs for effective operation.

  2. Analyzes chronic equipment failure, designs system improvements, estimates project time and costs, and prepares specialized reports of program activities.

  3. In-processes, verifies and finalizes all work requests before Quality Assurance inspection.

  4. Provides help, advice, and authoritative references to work center supervisors and technicians.

  5. Inspects work throughout the entire repair process.

  6. Establishes a deficiency analysis program and performs technical reviews.

  7. Processes material deficiencies. Reviews work center facility, systems installation and equipment records management.

  8. Performs technical reviews of modification proposals and processes valid proposals according to applicable directives.

  9. Performs hands-on maintenance, when necessary, to instruct/train technicians.

  10. Validates and assists in the development of technicians as needed. Maintains proficiency on related training tasks.

  11. Thorough knowledge of technical publications related to military radios and electronics maintenance.

  12. Clarity of written and oral expression desired.

  13. Maintain a daily time sheet and daily manning report and ensuring times are accurate.

Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

Minimum Requirements: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

  • High School graduate or equivalent.

  • Successful completion of a four (4) year degree can be substituted for two (2) years of experience, eight (8) years’ experience can be substituted for a bachelor’s degree in a related field, if required.

  • Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in the Electronic Maintenance Field required.

  • 4 years’ experience with Blue Fore Tracker and vehicle communication installations preferred.

  • Must have extensive experience with TMDE, to include AN/GRM-122, NVG test set, multi-meters, oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers.

  • Must be able to meet and maintain all base access security requirements.

  • Must be able to meet and maintain all Logistic Information System (LIS) access requirements (Common Access Card).

  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.

  • Must have knowledge of the scopes and limitations of various categories of electronic maintenance (related to maintenance functions) and their applications to the contract unit.

  • Must be able to meet and maintain all base access security requirements.

  • Must be able to meet and maintain all Logistic Information System (LIS) access requirements (Common Access Card).

  • Secret Clearance required.

  • Position may require travel.

Specialized knowledge and skills:

  • Experienced in the using the Army War Reserve Deployment System (AWRDS).

  • Experienced in the using the Logistics Information Warehouse (LIW).

  • Familiarity with additional U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) equipment is a plus.

  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Preferred Qualifications

Military experience preferred 25C, 25U, 94E or 94F.
