AECOM’s Sustainability team comprises of specialists within our Building and Places Business Line. We are recognised as industry leaders in the field of sustainable development. Our projects range from working with Governments to support Building Regulations and National planning policy relating to climate change, to developing energy and sustainability strategies to support the design and planning of new development and the resilience of cities.
We work across all construction stages, from pre-feasibility, through feasibility, design, construction and operation; and across a wide range of sectors - housing, healthcare, schools, universities, offices, retail, hospitality etc.
Responsibilities will involve:
Delivering various sustainability assessments simultaneously
Liaising with specialist consultants and interpreting their complex reports/specifications e.g. ecologists, acousticians, engineers, architects
Provide consultancy advice to both internal and external design teams on sustainability assessment methodologies and processes
Leading client meetings and workshops
Writing bids and winning work
Mentoring graduates and delegating work where appropriate
Delivering high quality and clearly written reports and outputs
Building client relationships
Has a solid foundation of understanding or analysis of client business practices and goals; develops and formulates solutions to client problems on assigned projects.
Under limited supervision, responsible for the creation of work plans and task definitions.
Minimum Requirements
Attributes needed are:
3-5 years experience of delivering BREEAM
Experience of face to face client interaction, leading meetings, presentations
Self starter who can work with minimal support
Preferred Qualifications
Relevant degree
Good communication skills
Experience in bid writing and winning work
