Are you an estimator with experience in delivery of water/wastewater, environmental or transportation projects?
The AECOM estimating team is highly successful and our workload is growing providing opportunities to be involved in a number of major projects. We are currently delivering water/wastewater, highways, aviation, rail, and environmental projects for high profile clients across the UK and Ireland. To help us to achieve our ambition we are expanding our team and are seeking individuals who have a sound estimating background and share our enthusiasm and determination to deliver successful projects. As the estimating team is growing, you will also have opportunity to progress within the company, including promotion and sub team development.
Report directly to the Estimating Lead you will be a self-motivated individual with proven estimating experience and will support project teams across the UK to deliver a variety of projects. Duties will contain elements of:
Produce comprehensive estimates from both bottom up and/or with the aid of parametric cost models, be able to cost plan, produce tender documentation, carry out value engineering, have commercial awareness, pre contract management experience and be fully competent in cost reporting.
Drive performance standards through expert communication and effective use of the performance management process.
Work on projects of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors and appropriate problem-solving methodologies.
Be aware of and develop marketing opportunities and where appropriate bring to the attention of Directors and the Business Development Department, in order that they may assist in following up potential leads enabling the development of new business opportunities.
Prior Estimating experience within the relevant sectors.
English: Verbal and written excellent knowledge.
Excellent report writing and verbal communication skills.
Outcome and deadline focused.
Ability to work within a project-based and team- based environment.
Initiative - self-starter.
Health and Safety conscious.
Sound knowledge and experience of estimating databases such as COSTX, COSTOS, CCS CANDY
Comfortable using MS Office packages, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
