Job Summary

AECOM is seeking to hire an Asset Management specialist to strengthen and potentially lead this practice in Water, Ports & Power. This role is flexible in location.

Our clients are increasingly managing their design, operation and maintenance using Asset Management frameworks and complex analytical approaches (optimisation, resilience etc). By developing business with an Asset Management front-end we enter our client’s delivery chain at an earlier and higher level and provide the platform for whole-life services from our established teams.

We are growing headcount significantly in this higher margin area and require a leader for this service.

Job Duties

This hire will operate across the UKI WPP business, opening up opportunities for staff growth and our Civil Infrastructure End Market. We will focus quickly on the hire’s media profile with targeted campaigns which build on our current Asset Management roundtable series. We anticipate the successful person will become a key figure in our international network of Asset Management practitioners.

Specific Skills Required:

You are likely to be working within the engineering or related sector, either in consultancy or an infrastructure service delivery environment. The role objectives are listed below and the hire will need the skills to:

  • Create and lead a strategy for a defined Asset Management service line and rapid growth.

  • Access to clients at different levels, including corporate.

  • Link up our existing Asset Management services in operation and tactical.

  • Develop/exploit relationships in water, power, transport infra, and buildings.

  • Develop innovation and tools and form partnerships with software, niche consulting.

  • Provide thought leadership into the market.

Minimum Requirements

  • You will be a recognized professional in the Asset Management, Business Advisory or Management Consulting space, able to demonstrate a track record of business growth and development and/or technical excellence in this area.

  • You will need an appetite for building and shaping our business and will be given considerable support from our management team to achieve this.

  • An established profile in this market, ideally in a client or similar business environment.

  • Degree qualified in a relevant discipline
