Job Description
AECOM Spain MEP team is a highly qualified group of professionals experts in offering the best solutions to international client’s needs all around the world.
Our building services engineers are at the forefront of their discipline for the design of the mechanical, electrical and public health (MEP) systems required for the safe, comfortable and environmentally friendly operation of buildings. We embrace world class methodologies and technologies, including information rich Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), to facilitate more efficient ways of working and design at all stages of the project life-cycle.
Our team, as part of the continued growth of our business, is looking for a Telecommunications Engineer to support the plan, and who has is looking to further develop their experience in delivering multi-disciplinary projects. These projects span a diverse range of construction sectors including among others, Industrial, Healthcare, Education, Leisure, Aviation, Commercial and Defense.
Working within a dynamic, highly motivated and driven team, you will be part of our project delivery. As a Telecommunications Engineer , you will contribute to the winning, management and delivery of moderate to large scale projects.
As Telecommunications specialist, you will support the delivery of different building facilities projects with Telecom Infrastructure design and supervision: Public Address/Voice Alarm, Building Management System, Video Surveillance System, Access Control System, Intrusion Detection System, among others.
You will have the opportunity to collaborate in medium to high complex projects within an international context.
This will be your main activities:
Produce detailed design information, including calculations, schematic drawings, technical reports, and specifications
Attend design team meetings.
Collaborate with the architect team to provide the spatial requirements for telecom systems.
Coordinate the design with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing disciplines to provide the connectivity and functionality requirements of the systems.
Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered
Identifies discrepancies in results.
Contributes to the development of technical proposals.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Telecommunications, Electrical or similar Engineering degree and 2 to 4 years’ experience designing Telecom Infrastructure for different building facilities construction projects.
Good verbal and written English language is essential.
We work for projects over the world, so previous international experience will be highly valued.
Working knowledge of Microsoft office.
Knowledge and/or experience in any of the following software is desired:
Design software: EASE and other manufacturers' proprietary calculation software.
Graphic design software: VISIO / AUTOCAD / REVIT.
Some of the skills this job require and you probably have:
Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
Strong technical drawing skills and eye for detail.
