This individual will be responsible for generating a passion and enthusiasm for delivering excellent design and project performance in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
He/she will be responsible for managing and leading a team of multi-disciplinary consultants with the ability to manoeuvre easily between single and multiple projects. Candidates will be required to provide the creative direction to their team, coaching team members and encouraging and supporting their Team Leaders.
he ideal candidate will have strong Industrial Design and Management experience with a proven record of client interaction and development in this sector, and the drive to develop this market on a focused basis. The ideal candidate will be an engaging and compelling communicator, both verbally and written, as well as technically astute, with a very strong client and commercial focus.
This Senior Industrial Specialist will be highly skilled in the development and direction of large-scale, programmatically complex industrial projects in international contexts.
She/he will develop and grow relationships with new and existing clients that produce new and continued business. This innovative leader will demonstrate a propensity for problem solving, solutions focused approach, creative strategy development and sustainable design, and exhibit highly evolved business and financial management skills. A dynamic and fully engaged communicator, s/he will be an active participant in industry events and provide organizational, leadership, communication and relationship management firm wide.
10+ years’ experience inclusive of 2 years of design and management experience with Industrial Infrastructure projects at multiple scales
Advanced knowledge of production machinery, processes and standards Knowledge in Logistics will be valuable including Logistic
Strong knowledge and experience of the total Design and Assurance process in Industrial Projects from concept through construction and testing and commissioning, with an understanding of different and innovative delivery methods. Preference will be given to those candidates experienced in the field of Material Flow Automation and Clean and Dry rooms.
Must be a team player and mentor with a proven track record of success working with teams, clients, sub-consultants and vendors while completing large, complex projects
Ability to develop collaborative relationships across the firm, with clients and other key constituents that creates a competitive advantage
Propensity for problem-solving, brand development and sustainable design
Excellent English communication skills. Excellent communicator with strong presentation skills – written, oral and graphic
Ability to maintain a balance between business development, financial management and staff development duties within group
Significant understanding of financial components and management of financials within budget at a project and at a group level
Proven understanding of market forces pertaining to fees, scope and schedule requirements
Use of other languages is desirable
Understanding and/or Experience with BIM environment
Working knowledge of AutoCad and/or MicroStation
Availability to travel.
- Professional Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field required
