Job Summary
Important Engineering Company is currently seeking an Environmental Project Manager and Senior Consultant to join our Madrid office focused on Permitting and Sustainability.
In this role, you will be covering for a project managing environmental and environmental consulting assignments related to Impact assessment, Permitting strategies and advisory work.
Responsibilities:
Work on national and international environments.
Lead projects in Spain and other regions as when required.
Perform multiple projects concurrently within strict timeframes, scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables.
Active interaction with the client aimed at both project deliveries and commercial opportunities identification and development.
Lead projects in Spain and other regions as when required.
Develop Environmental & Social Impact Assessment projects; global environmental advisory; permitting assessment, etc.
Project Management and coordination of a delivery team;
Identify and develop new project opportunities, prepare effective technical proposals and cost estimates
Ability and flexibility to work across a range of services and sectors including: oil & gas, power (including renewables) and manufacturing;
Provide compliance assurance of impact assessment studies with applicable local legal and international requirements (IFC, EBRD, etc.);
Active interaction with clients, company employees, and vendors.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum five years of experience as environmental consultant
Experience acting both as technician and at project management level.
VERY HIGH ENGLISH LEVEL IS REQUIRED (spoken and written).
Experience writing comprehensive technical reports in Spanish and English.
Ability to travel as needed.
Experience in the Oil & Gas and Renewables Sector (preferably, but not limited to)
Familiarity with EHS National Environmental regulation and International Standard (IFC, EBRD, etc.)
Ability to write well structured, concise and well-reasoned reports, proposals and documents
Experience with offshore projects will be considered a plus
Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Leading capabilities.
Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently.
Ability to communicate ideas clearly and confidently and develop solutions
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor or Master’s Degree in the environmental or other sciences or engineering or safety management or related discipline.
