AECOM Project Planner & Scheduler in Madrid, Spain

Job Summary

Join our B+P team in Madrid as a Scheduler for immediate employment in our Madrid office.

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop, maintain and follow up complex schedules for all project stages, from design until construction closeout:

-Support AECOM PM’s in resource loaded team planning of multidisciplinary design phases. Include external consultants. Tracking Gantt charts. Internal and client reporting.

-Develop overall project schedules including due diligence, permitting, design, preconstruction, construction, closeout and handover phases

-Develop and track resource loaded detailed construction schedules

The Scheduler will deliver the work embedded in the PMCM team and in collaboration with our multidisciplinary design and site supervision teams.

Minimum Requirements

  • Years of experience: 10 years in planning of large building projects - 5 years in high-end / mixed-use large building project

  • Have liaised with international consultants, contractors, and major clients regarding all the planning, monitoring and scheduling requirements of the project, both before and during construction;

  • Experience in developing the Construction programme in compliance with the employers asset structure, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), calendars and dates, Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) and Employers Data Dictionary; experience in design team planning is helpful, too.

  • Experience in construction strategies, baseline programmes, including cost, resource and equipment loading in accordance with the required delivery milestones;

  • Experience programme tracking, deviation detection, implemented plans to identify and recover schedule slippages and creation of delay recovery schedules and;

  • Have knowledge of Safety, Environment and Risk Management;- Excellent working knowledge of project planning and control software, specifically Oracle Primavera- Project life cycle experience- Spanish and international project experience- Languages: Excellent English communication skills. Use of other languages is desirable

Preferred Qualifications

University degree in Architectural Engineering or equivalent (Arquitecto Técnico/Ingeniero de Edificación) and preferably possess a Cost Management Certificate
