Business Development Division is in charge of the identification of new business opportunities (technical assistance and framework contract projects funded by the EU and other donors) and of the preparation of the bids to respond to tender procedures.


Project Manager will work under the supervision of a Head of Unit and Senior Project Manager, will be based in Madrid and will be integrated in the FWC Unit

The FWC Unit focus on the different framework contracts in the areas of Private Sector Development, Trade, Infrastructure, Public Finance, Education, Environment, Elections, etc


responsibilities will include:

a) Offer Preparation for the FWC SIEA 2018 and other Framework Contracts including: Elections, EIBAS, Sida

  • Identify, negotiate and sign up international professional experts for aid development consultancy assignments launched under the Lots where AECOM is consortium leader and consortium partner;

  • Manage relationship with consortium partners and local/external partners;

  • Manage relationship with EC delegations/ Clients/ Donors;

  • Prepare technical proposal for each specific RfS;

  • Responsible of preparation and submission of offers within the deadline set.

b) Commercial and Business Development Support

  • Support Network development:

  • Through ST and LT experts

  • Identifying Institutions and Companies with whom to cooperate

  • Contacting Beneficiarie

  • Preparation of technical tenders for International donors

  • Selection and editing of references to be included

  • Selection of experts/ CVs

  • Format of the references and CVs to be included

  • Selection and negotiation with consortium partners

  • Participation to the methodology drafting

  • Participation in the budget draft and further final definition

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications and skills

  • University degree in Economics, Business Administration, Political Sciences or equivalent.

  • Fully computer literate

  • Strong Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Languaje Skills

  • Full Proficiency in English Language

  • Full Proficiency in French will be considered a strong asset

General Professional experience:

  • 3+ years of working experience in national and international environment

  • 2+ years of working experience in Framework contracts

  • Business development experience

Personal Skills:

  • Result oriented

  • Capacity to analyse complex set of information and to write solid and coherent texts. Writing skills are considered fundamental.

  • Very strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently;

  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and adapt quickly to changes under pressure

  • Capacity to take initiative and to be proactive

  • Organised and resourceful

  • Team player

  • Good negotiation and networking skills
