Job Description
The Environment team is currently seeking an Environmental Project Manager to join our Madrid office focused on infrastructure projects, although with potential to work in projects of very different nature.
In this role, you will be covering for a project managing and environmental consulting assignments related to environmental integration in design, impact assessment, permitting strategies and advisory work.
Responsibilities:
Lead projects in Spain and other regions as when required.
Perform multiple projects concurrently within strict time-frames, scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables.
Active interaction with the client or design team aimed at both: project deliveries and commercial opportunities identification and development.
Develop environmental integration appendixes, Environmental & Social Impact Assessment; global environmental advisory; permitting assessment, etc.
Coordination of a delivery team.
Identify and develop new project opportunities, prepare effective technical proposals and cost estimates.
Collaborate across a range of services and sectors including: infrastructure (railways, roads, airports, etc.), architecture and others.
Provide compliance assurance of impact assessment studies with applicable local legal and international requirements (IFC, EBRD, etc.).
Active interaction with different stakeholders: clients, company employees, and vendors.
Some travel will be required.
Requirements:
Bachelor or Master’s Degree in the environmental or other sciences, engineering, safety management or related discipline.
Minimum ten years of experience as Environmental Consultant, some of them acting as a Project Manager.
Experience in the Infrastructure and Engineering Sector (preferably, but not limited to).
Familiarity with EHS National Environmental regulation.
English and Spanish fluent (spoken and written, both of them are essential).
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
Leading capabilities and good organizational skills.
Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility and work independently.
