Job Description

Our Environmental Department help industrial and public sector clients around the world balance growth with resiliency — achieving compliance and reducing, or eliminating, risks while protecting our natural environment.

Across our broad impact analysis, assessment and permitting practice, our experience serves to achieve our clients’ goals, ensuring they are operating according to their own business requirements as well as complying with regulatory requirements.

We are currently looking to hire an Environmental Permitting Project Manager to join our team based in Madrid.

In this role, you will be working as a Technical Expert & Project Manager for multiple environmental projects related to environmental integration in design, impact assessment, permitting strategies and advisory work.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead multiple local and international projects, managing scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensuring quality standards on project deliverables.

  • Active interaction with the client or design team aimed at both: project deliveries and commercial opportunities identification.

  • Develop environmental integration appendixes, Environmental & Social Impact Assessment; global environmental advisory; permitting assessment, etc.

  • Prepare effective technical proposals and cost estimation.

  • Provide compliance assurance of impact assessment studies with applicable local legal and international requirements (IFC, EBRD, etc.);

  • Active stakeholders management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master’s Degree in the environmental, other sciences, engineering or related discipline.

  • Spanish & English fluent required.

  • Previous experience as Project Manager, ideally we are looking for a person who has grown from consultant to PM.

  • Solid background in clients and stakeholders management, able to lead teams in delivering different projects.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Open to work across a range of services and sectors including infrastructure (railways, roads, airports, etc.), architecture and others;

  • Ability to write well structured, concise and well-reasoned reports and proposals.

  • Open to travel as needed (across Spain).
