AECOM Team Lead - Water in Mackay, Australia

Job Summary

As a result of current successes of the AECOM Water Team in Mackay, we are looking for an influential, collaborative and vibrant leader to support and drive the continued growth of our team in Central QLD. This role presents a career-defining opportunity for a driven professional to play an instrumental role in developing our water-related service offering, whilst developing our growing team.

This role will see you leading our team of Water, Sewerage, Drainage and Water Resources specialists, while developing strategic client relationships, actively assisting in the development and winning of proposals for a range of clients including local government, private clients and mining industry partners. You will play an active role in contributing to reports and tenders and will develop your Project Management skills and commercial acumen.

With our focus and strategy of providing multi-disciplinary integrated delivery of water resources services across all industry sectors, we offer a broad variety of office and site-based opportunities. You will have opportunity to work across water resources projects, including in areas of flood impact assessment, hydrological and hydraulic modelling, drainage design, mine water management and coastal engineering.

Minimum Requirements

We are looking for an innovative and influential leader with a strong local and regional market presence and a passion for delivery excellence.

Using your strong client-focus and developed networks, you will lead our multi-disciplinary team to deliver timely, innovative and high-quality project outputs. You will be a motivational leader, fostering the growth and development of our team, which comprises of a combination of new talent and experienced professionals, whilst focusing on technical excellence, project management and client service satisfaction.

You will have a passion for our industry and a successful track record of building and maintaining client relationships and business development. Your ability to lead and influence successful teams will see you succeed in this role.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Tertiary Qualifications in a relevant Engineering discipline, Water Resource Management, Civil Engineering or Environmental Science/Hydrology - essential;

  • RPEQ/CPEng - highly regarded.
