AECOM is seeking a Utility Manager to be based in Los Angeles, CA .
Lead the design of utilities
Coordinate with the Contractor and third party stakeholders
Identify utility conflicts and leads the resolution meetings with Contractor and LA Metro
Prepares status reports and maintain tracking log for issues and resolutions
- BA/BS + 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership.
Over 10 years of experience in the utility design field.
Bachelors in civil engineering or related field from an accredited university
PE in the state of California
Proven track record with large client account management, mega-project pursuits, and engineering/planning staff development
Experience reviewing utility/railroad designs to ensure compliance with utility/railroad design standards.
Knowledge of the City of LA Storm Drain and Sewer Design Manuals, Federal Statutes, and California State Statutes.
A general understanding of land survey principles, and the ability to read and plot legal descriptions.
A desire to work with external contractors/Subconsultants, AECOM’s other divisions/regions and interact directly with major clients
Demonstrate leadership skills and communication skills requiring client interaction
Ability to work with various multi-disciplined teams is essential to this role
Excellent communication skills (both written and oral), and the ability to speak knowledgeably with other consultants, stakeholders, other governmental agencies, and individual citizens.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to track large data sets, and the ability to illustrate, analyze and convey those data sets effectively.
Proficiency and knowledge of computer software applications such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Project, Power BI, scheduling software, and SharePoint.
Be a self-starter and detail-oriented.
Offered rate of compensation (California locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is (range 150k-250K).
