AECOM System Administrator/Developer, SNOW & Archer Systems in Los Angeles, California

Job Summary

AECOM Information Technology is seeking a ServiceNow & Archer Administrator/Developer will manage AECOM’s case management, portal and knowledge base solution using ServiceNow and AECOM’s integrated risk management system using Archer.

This position is remote/virtual and can be based from a variety of locations, not limited to those listed.


  • Assess and understand the issues and challenges of AECOM organization and industry and how the supported applications seek to resolve those issues. Specifically, you will be supporting Service Now, a support case management solution and employee portal and Archer, an integrated risk management solution

  • Partners with technical resources and business resources to determine the appropriate solution to address the needs of the company

  • Provide ongoing support and enhancements in ServiceNow and Archer. Maintain, analyze, design, configure, develop, and implement core/custom applications and enhancements using ServiceNow’s portal, knowledge base and case management solution and Archer’s risk management solution.

  • Provide architectural input and help maintain stability of the overall platform by ensuring the appropriate design and development standards are used at all times

  • Support the Case and Knowledge Management module and the Employee Service Center module of our ServiceNow environment (Dev, Stage and Production)

  • Support the integrated risk management modules by configuring and customizing RSA Solutions to ensure proper integration of the Archer environment (Dev, Stage and Production); Solutions include but not limited to Vendor Management, Risk Management, Policy Management, Compliance Management, BCM, Enterprise Management, Audit Management, etc.

  • Administer ServiceNow instance including the group and user maintenance, ACL, UI Actions, Catalog Items, etc.; Support and use analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve technical issues (system, integration, database, interface with Infrastructure team, etc.)

  • Support and develop Archer questionnaires, calculations, data feeds, notifications, reports, custom objects, access control, and workflows; Provide additional support which granting/modifying access, updating/adding fields and performing data imports

  • Defines detailed development tasks, task dependencies and estimates to complete work.

  • Manage MID servers that support integrations from Workday to SNOW and potentially other system integrations

  • Troubleshoot any data model and relationships issues or provide sound data modeling architecture for new features to be introduced

  • Initiates and supports instance upgrades, ensures comprehensive testing protocol for instance upgrades, certify all applications are ready for use after the upgrade completes

  • Adhere to change management policies by doing thorough development and testing in non-production environment before releasing to production; Coordinate with AECOM technology team member to ensure change management controls are met before deploying changes to the production environment

  • Perform necessary testing and QA needed to ensure solution is properly tested and passes before deploying to PROD.

  • Logs technical support incidents, problems, requests into ServiceNow and monitor progress

  • Maintain a detailed understanding of how the applications are configured to meet customer’s business requirements.

  • Independently or in collaboration with the Director, Safety and GBS Systems, work with stakeholders to identify and prioritize minor and major enhancements, and projects.

  • Fulfill ad-hoc application reporting requests.

  • Document current state and develop and document future state business process deliverables.

  • Analyze processes and identify areas for improvement along with possible solutions.

  • Support the successful delivery of projects – ensure that assigned and committed work is completed within given timelines.

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS plus at least 6 years of relevant System Administrator and/or Developer experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

  • Strong knowledge and experience in ServiceNow development and administration, including strong knowledge and experience with a broad range of technologies like AngularJS, Java, HTML, JavaScript, CSS and Web Services to be able to properly support the SNOW HR solution front end, back end and integration.

  • Experience working in current version of ServiceNow (Quebec)

  • Experience supporting ServiceNow integration projects

  • Development experience to include implementation of questionnaires, calculations, data feeds, notifications, reports, custom objects, access control, and workflows

  • Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders and team members by educating the team on appropriate options and driving agreements and decisions to the ideal

  • Ability to work independently

  • Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully

  • Due to the nature of this position, US Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • ServiceNow Certified Administrator/Developer preferred

  • Experience working with GRC technologies, especially Archer is a plus

  • Certified RSA Archer Professional a plus

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Generates enthusiasm among team members

Additional Information:

Due to the remote nature of this position, relocation assistance is not available.

Offered rate of compensation (Colorado locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is: $68,000 to 140,000.
