AECOM is seeking for a Structure Inspector - Highway/Bridge to be based in Orange, Ontario, Los Angeles or San Diego, California office.

The job responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Structural inspector will oversee and monitor contractor constructing transportation related structures such as retaining walls and bridges. Inspector will properly document work as its being performed and work under supervision of the resident engineer.
Under minimal direction, relies on extensive experience and independent judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Responsible for setting own project deadlines.
Provides on the job training to new employees.
Responsible for monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties.
Performs daily field inspections and maintains inspection records.
Participates in punch lists, testing, and commissioning.
Tracks quality assurance progress.
Provides input to documentation for area and equipment turnovers.

Minimum Requirements
- HS + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred Qualifications
Experience on major projects in Southern California
Experience with multiple areas of inspection (see list of important areas below, don’t need all, but multiple would be best)
Structures
Civil (storm drain, roadway, sewer/utility, earthwork)
Landscaping
Electrical
Rail
Experience with Highway/Bridge projects and/or railroad projects
