In this role, you will be a member of our highly reputable Cost Management & Estimating team. The cost team delivers solutions to clients in the areas of Conceptual Estimating, Budget Development, Cost Planning, Feasibility Studies, Value Management, Economic Forecasting, Milestone Reports, Pre/Post Contract Auditing, Change Order Review/Reconciliation, LEED Cost Analysis, Life Cycle Costing, and more.

Job Description

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor within our Program Cost Consultancy team, you will provide a comprehensive, accurate and value driven service for large, high profile and exciting key clients within the technology and logistics sector. The role may also present opportunities to work across other Public and Private sector projects such as Commercial Development-, Education-, Water- and Transport projects.

The role will cover all aspects of quantity surveying throughout the whole project lifecycle from inception through to completion. Duties include (but not limited to):

  • Deliver all aspects of cost management from inception of a project through to completion, working with project leads, client and others as required; Including (but not limited to) feasibility estimates, cost planning, value engineering, life cycle cost studies, design stage estimating, procurement advisory services, risk management, construction phase cost management, project controls and agreement of final accounts.

  • Achieve the highest standards of professional competence and to demonstrate this ability in all dealings with clients and professional contacts, reinforcing the profile of the company.

  • Drive performance standards and technical excellence through expert communication and effective use of the performance management process and AECOM technical practice networks.

  • Maintain and develop good relationships with clients, take every opportunity to uphold and increase the profile of the firm as a provider of professional, premium quality services to the construction industry.

  • Be aware of and develop marketing opportunities.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or equivalent

  • 6+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Cost Manager, Cost Engineer or Estimator with a focus on design and construction phase services

  • Pr.QS, MRICS, FRICS Chartered Surveyor, AACEI or equivalent certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ideally Degree Qualified in Construction, Cost Management or Quantity Surveying

  • 10+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor or similar

  • MRICS Certified

  • Experience leading cost management services on complex, medium to large scale projects

  • Experience of undertaking cost management as part of integrated, multi-organization, collaborative teams

  • Experience of working within a client organization, either directly or through a colocation/secondment arrangement would be of benefit

  • Strong competency with time management, organization, and attention to detail

Offered rate of compensation (Colorado locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is: $90,000 - $166,000.
