Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Senior Quality Control Manager to lead quality control efforts with AECOM’s Rail/Transit Group, West Coast Transportation , based in Los Angeles, CA , and be a key factor in our successful delivery of the LA Metro East San Fernando Valley Light Rail Transit Progressive Design-Build Project.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Quality Manager will be a Key Personnel responsible for documenting, implementing, and monitoring the design QA/QC program for the design and ESDC of the project. They will report to the Design Manager in accordance with the project contract requirements. This is a field office position, and the Quality Manager is required to be in the integrated project office for the duration of the design phase, which is approximately, 24 months.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Managing, assessing, and evaluating design quality control activities, reviews and reports on the status and effectiveness of the quality requirements of the design.
Ensuring that AECOM quality management systems are being followed and evidence is recorded and maintained.
Tracking, monitoring and reporting on the status of the design development, and outstanding design review comments for managing quality deliverables.
Providing guidance to project team members within the latitude of established policies.
Recommending changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization.
Ensure successful quality control and assurance aspects of the design deliverables.
Other Responsibilities include:
Working on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including understanding of current business trends.
Acting as advisor to subordinates to meet schedules and/or resolve quality control problems.
May have budget responsibilities.
Participate in design-build contracting (projects within the U.S.) efforts and deliveries.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
BA/BS + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
licensed in the State of California as Architects or Engineers within their respective discipline.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
8+ years of experience in the engineering or construction industry, including 4 years of leadership.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction from ABET accredited college or university.
Experience working with Agencies Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) in the City of Los Angeles, and the County of Los Angeles preferred.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in quality assurance and quality control in the design and construction of rail transit projects with a construction value of at least $500 million preferred
Understanding of Quality and Assurance within the Transportation Field
Excellent communication and team management skills.
Excellent client management and relationship skills.
Ability to work with remote teams to ensure quality assurance and compliance.
Relevant experience in procurement management
Relevant Field Experience preferred.

The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $106,800.34 - $197,580.63.
