AECOM Buildings and Places is seeking a Project Manager, Federal projects based in our Orange or Los Angeles, CA offices with recent engagement in Federal projects within the last 10 years through all phases of design and construction.

We’re looking for a leader of design excellence, one whose design philosophy and practice is driven by a passion for the market sector, for clients, for mentoring staff and for building business. While the majority of AECOM’s West Region Federal work is in California, the region includes Washington, Arizona, Oregon, Nevada, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Alaska, and Hawaii. The B+P Federal Practice includes Architecture, Engineering, Interiors, Planning, Urbanism, asset advisory services, and consulting.
As a Project Manager, you will leverage your attention to detail and interpersonal skills to deliver exceptional projects on time and on budget. You will direct resources to ensure that the work process flows smoothly and act as the leader between the client and the inter-disciplinary team. In this role, you will provide leadership to the client, user groups (where applicable), and team by communicating project objectives, contract scope, terms, and schedule.
Project Management at AECOM is a business discipline that uses project management, design, strategy and supply chain techniques to control a creative process, support a culture of creativity, and build a structure and organization for design. Through proactive management, design value, financial impact & client impact set the foundation for projects that achieve design & financial success.
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related design field plus four (4) years of relevant experience
Preferably 15+ years of relevant experience
Registered Architect and/or Professional Engineer
Design experience managing and directing multi-disciplinary teams (Architecture, Building Engineering and specialty services) in the delivery of a coordinated project through programming, concept, and construction support
Experience negotiating project scope, fees, managing project financial performance, and ensuring fiscal responsibility for projects
Support Federal projects within the last 10 years through all phases of design and construction
Able to travel and/or work remotely with teams
Proven ability to successfully develop client relationships and win work
Ability to manage multiple projects of a complex scope
Security Clearance preferred, but not required
Recent experience with Federal Design Build or P-3
