AECOM , is seeking a highly talented Manager, Strategy and Operations for the US-West Special Project Group. The Special Projects Group supports the development and execution of the strategic vision for the West Region. Projects range from market strategies and growth initiatives to operational turnarounds and M&A.
In this role you will help advance AECOM’s growth objectives by driving critical strategic initiatives. This position will report to the Vice President of US-West Special Projects. This position requires the ability to manage complex projects, balance multiple responsibilities, and influence key stakeholders.
This role can be virtual or a combination of virtual and office. Location can be anywhere in the domestic United States.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Plan, manage, and execute strategic initiatives
Establish well-supported solutions with specific recommendations that enable senior management to make critical decisions
Conduct internal and external research and analysis to develop actionable recommendations
Assess global markets and develop detailed market insights and strategies
Drive the development of regional and business line strategic plans
Identify risks to long range strategic plans and develop mitigation strategies
Provide strategic input into mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships and divestitures
Build credible subject matter expertise and personal brand across enterprise
Present to and influence senior leadership
Build relationships and work with Business Development and Operations teams

- BA/BS + 8 years of experience in research and analysis, strategic planning, financial analysis, and project management or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
An MBA, or equivalent advanced degree, from top tier program.
Excellent analytical, interpersonal, leadership, and communications skills.
Expertise in research and analysis, strategic planning, financial analysis, and project management.
Proven ability to think out of the box and challenge the status quo.
Entrepreneurial spirit with drive to take on a leadership role and the accountability and responsibility that comes with it.
Prior operational experience in EPC industry is a plus.
Background in management consulting, corporate strategy, or investment banking is a plus but not required.
Previous experience working for a large, Fortune 500 and/or highly matrixed organization.
Position may required up to 10-20% travel at times.
This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.
