Business Systems Analyst – Project Management & Finance
The primary function of the Business Systems Analyst is to serve as an IT subject matter expert (SME) for the Ecosystem Project Management (ePM) application, Oracle EBS Project Finance modules, and other related systems.
In this role the SME is responsible for working with the designated business owners across AECOM in the design, requirements, development, testing and support of the applications. The ideal candidate will have an in depth understanding of project management and accounting business processes within a professional service firm. This position will assist the team leads in support, enhancement, and rollout activities. The candidate will have the ability to provide input to the development of product roadmaps and deliver continuous improvements across a portfolio of applications.
The Business Systems Analyst brings five years of experience and knowledge of managing, configuring, building apps and supporting applications, including providing end user support and troubleshooting. Experience in Salesforce and Oracle applications is required. The Business Systems Analyst partners with users and stakeholders to identify opportunities and needs for continuous improvement and streamline business processes through technical solutions. The role may entail performing application configurations, including simple to complex workflows, permission and access design, development of metrics and data model development.

MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:
Lead multiple projects with multiple resources including 3rd parties and external vendors.
Define business and technical requirements in partnership with project stakeholders.
Command an understanding of project management, project accounting & billing, and be equipped to design integrations, especially to/from ERP systems.
Consult with application development teams to translate customer needs into application development tasks.
Provide support to global user communities and internal departments.
Assist with change management and training for rollouts of enhancements and acquisition integrations.
Develop, test, troubleshoot and maintain project management and finance applications working with other 3rd parties as appropriate.
Develop and conduct Quality Control and Testing procedures.
Contribute to governance best practices, documentation templates and processes.
Coordinate and assist as needed in user training and development of associated supplemental materials, presentations and documentation.
Ensure adherence to security requirements and processes to maintain highest level of protection for source code, secure interfaces, passwords, data, etc.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND COMPETENCIES
Proven ability to perform large scale Systems Analysis, including business requirements mapping and requirements translation into functional solutions
Strong financial analyst background
Knowledge of technology and how to connect technology to business problems
Ability to communicate business needs to technical people and to communicate and simplify complex technical information for non-technical people, and manage expectations with business partners
Experience analyzing and making recommendations based on previous experience, research and best practices
Must have experience with custom Platform and professional services solutions.
Must have experience with Oracle EBS project accounting modules
Knowledge of professional services project management a must; knowledge of project accounting & billing processes highly preferred
Salesforce administration, configuration and implementation experience highly preferred
Ability to work independently and report out as needed
Knowledge custom application SDLC processes and methodologies, including Agile, preferably in a regulated environment
Ability to collaborate across IT disciplines and teams including 3rd parties
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent working experience
Certified Salesforce Administrator, Certified Advanced Salesforce Administrator a plus
Local Candidates preferred
