Business Systems Analyst & Administrator – Project Management & Finance

Job Description

  • The primary function of the Business Systems Analyst and Administrator is to serve as an IT subject matter expert (SME) for the Ecosystem Project Management (ePM) application, Oracle EBS Finance modules, and other related systems. Responsibilities also include system administration for the Salesforce ePM custom application and Oracle EBS.

In this role the SME is responsible for working with the designated business owners across AECOM in the design, requirements, development, testing and support of the applications, as well as for administration of ePM environments. The ideal candidate will be familiar with project management and accounting business processes within a professional service firm. This position will assist the team leads in support, enhancement, and rollout activities.

The Business Systems Analyst and Administrator brings three years of experience and knowledge of managing, configuring, building apps and supporting and administering applications, including providing end user support and troubleshooting. Experience in Salesforce and Oracle applications is required. The Business Systems Analyst partners with users and stakeholders to identify opportunities and needs for continuous improvement and streamline business processes through technical solutions. The role may entail performing application configurations, including simple to complex workflows, permission and access design, development of metrics and environment management.

MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:

  • Support multiple projects working with multiple resources including 3rd parties and external vendors.

  • Work with business partners to determine technical requirements based on business requirements.

  • Understand project management, project accounting & billing, and be equipped to support integrations, especially to/from ERP systems.

  • Develop, test, troubleshoot and maintain the ePM applications working with other 3rd parties as appropriate.

  • Perform system administration for the applications.

  • Develop and conduct Quality Control and Testing procedures.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of the product.

  • Coordinate and assist as needed in user training and development of associated supplemental materials, presentations and documentation.

  • Ensure adherence to security requirements and processes to maintain highest level of protection for source code, secure interfaces, passwords, data, etc.

Minimum Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND COMPETENCIES

  • Must have experience with custom Salesforce.com Platform solutions; experience with professional services solutions a plus.

  • Salesforce administration, configuration and implementation experience a must.

  • Ability to work independently and report out as needed.

  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into functional solutions.

  • Must have experience with custom Platform and professional services solutions.

  • Must have experience with Oracle EBS project accounting modules.

  • Knowledge custom application SDLC processes and methodologies, including Agile, preferably in a regulated environment.

  • Knowledge of technology and how to connect technology to business problems.

  • Ability to collaborate across IT disciplines and teams including 3rd parties

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent working experience.

  • Certified Salesforce Administrator or Certified Advanced Salesforce Administrator a must.

  • Experience with GitHub or similar technologies, including managing version, configuration, and migration control is highly preferred.

  • Experience with project accounting modules in Oracle EBS a plus.
