Job Summary/Responsibilities
The Asset Advisory Services within AECOM is seeking an Asset Management IV candidate to support several large building asset management projects and assist the team leaders in growing the business globally. This seasoned candidate should be able to demonstrate an established career in asset management, architecture, or engineering, with experience managing projects.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and technical yet experienced enough to see the big picture and understand how building systems work in the real world. Our projects are large, complex, and multidisciplinary, and our tight-knit team is characterized by people who are willing to stretch and learn. This is a team of self-starters who don’t wait to be asked when a task is in front of them. A good sense of humor also helps.
We are willing to train a candidate in Asset Management practices who has a solid career in architecture or engineering and who meets our other criteria.
Some key tasks the Asset Management IV hire will be performing include:
Managing junior staff performing building asset management and strategic planning work
Performing work related to asset management and strategic planning, including building implementation projects from identified deficiencies and leading a data QAQC team
Occasionally leading field assessments
Writing proposals to pursue new projects
Managing projects including setup, risk analysis, scheduling, budgeting, and team management
Implementation of our proprietary digital enterprise asset management system for clients
Training field staff
Occasional technical report writing
Giving presentations to clients and running workshops
Participating in client pitch meetings and interviews
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Planning or a related field plus six (6) years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred Qualifications
10+ years of related experience
Licensed Architect (RA) or Professional Engineer (PE) in California
IAM and/or PMP certification
Experience managing all phases of capital projects
Broad knowledge of building and construction, design, including advanced understanding of industry practices
Experience with project management including team and budget management
Ability to use Microsoft Office products (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project), budget tracking and maintenance, scheduling.
Comfortable with learning and using digital data collection tools and online platforms.
Enterprise Asset Management System experience helpful.
Good written and verbal communication.
