AECOM is seeking an Air Quality Scientist/ Environmental Scientist to provide air quality compliance services to Department of Defense (DOD) clients.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
Research, review, and analyze air quality policies and regulations.
Develop permit application packages and supporting documentation.
Work with regulators for permit revisions and development.
Prepare and review Air Quality Management Plans, which communicate all regulations affecting the management of air emission sources at a facility.
Review and assess compliance methodologies employed at a facility and provide feedback and creative solutions to reduce overall risk of non-compliance.
Mentor and supervise junior staff while managing tasks of varying sizes and complexity

Bachelor's Degree in Science
6 years of experience focused on air quality compliance
Valid U.S. Driver's license is required for this role
U.S Citizenship is required as candidates will be working on a Federal Contract
Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations that implement the Clean Air Act
10+ years of air quality compliance experience
Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel
Calculate air emissions according to scientific and regulatory standards
Strong focus and attention to detail
Strong writing, critical thinking, and reasoning skills
Experience with APIMS and/or EESOH
Experience consulting DOD clients
Knowledge of DOD management practices as they relate to air quality compliance
Relocation is not available for this position.
Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $78,000 - $145,000.
