AECOM’s UK Transaction Advisory team is looking to recruit at a mid-senior level, to join the expanding team in London. The candidate will have the desire to contribute to and develop the skills of others, as well delivery, client management and building revenues. Key responsibilities will be to deliver of work across social and infrastructure sectors under a Project Finance; Development and Real Estate Finance banner, and thereafter focus on Client delivery and advice, in order to enhance AECOM’s Transaction Advisory’s service capability.
In addition to new transactions around economic and social infrastructure, the Transaction Advisory team delivers a range of base project finance services, including PPP/PFI, Lifecycle and operational reviews, and quasi-development /. finance.
You would be a key member of the continued new growth within the team, helping and ensuring high-quality technical reporting, analysis and advice to clients that include NGO’s / Commercial Banks / Infrastructure Funds and Funding institutions, all of which supports current workloads.
Identification of qualifying economic infrastructure projects for delivery through participation in technical and financial discussions with both internal and external clients;
Delivery of high quality advice on Project Finance transactions;
Identification of sector pursuits and where advice can be offered across the Client base;
Attend internal meetings, with responsibility for growth and new clients;
Build and develop effective working relationships with colleagues, intermediaries and other networks develop further opportunities;
Develop the knowledge and skills of younger team members to keep technical knowledge up to date and relevant;
Support the business unit leadership team in growth and client strategies;
Actively supervise and train junior consultants as well as business development teams;
Contribute to the knowledge management of the Transaction Advisory team;
Drive performance standards through effective communication and effective use of the performance management process with the team;
Manage the delivery of projects, ensuring effective use of resources to achieve optimal output quality;
in-house project management systems/protocols.
We are looking for a candidate that is looking to be working to progress within the organisation and be responsible for line management duties to junior staff and have the ability to impart general construction and engineering knowledge across the team.
Experience in the construction and engineering market; or
Experience and training within Project Finance;
Proven experience of working on several projects, meeting deadlines and working under pressure within a business unit with internal and external clients;
Excellent communication (both spoken and written);
Strong numerical ability;
Curiosity, awareness and an interest in the fields of science, technology and innovation
Degree or equivalent in Construction and Engineering related subjects (Architecture; Architectural Technology; Building Surveying; Building Services Engineering; Civil Engineering; Construction Management; Electrical Engineering; Mechanical Engineering; and / or Quantity Surveying); and
Either formal professional qualification, or substantially en-route to achieving a full professional qualification (RIBA; RICS; CEng).
