The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Monitors and documents conformance with quality, performance, safety and code requirements.
Activities may include assisting with engineering calculations, setting up and operating equipment, inspecting equipment and engineering installations for compliance with specifications and maintaining project documentation.
General understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines.
Minimum Requirements
Highschool + 4 years of related experience municipal civil engineering CAD/ design and construction inspection or Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology + 2 YORE in municipal civil engineering CAD/ design and construction inspection
2 years experience working with AutoCAD and Civil 3D (2016 to current versions) and Bentley Microstation V8i
Preferred Qualifications
Good time management skills
Certified or eligible for certification as a C.E.T. and a member of the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists
Proficient with MS Office Suite
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors and clients
Comfortable working in a multi-disciplinary environment
Experience creating base plans from collected survey data
Experience working with GIS data
Experience in road reconstruction design, land development, lot grading, stormwater management and construction inspection
Experience with quantity take-offs and cost estimating
