Our rapidly growing stakeholder engagement service plays a key role in delivering major infrastructure and development projects, and we now have an exciting opportunity for a senior consultant to join our team in the midlands.
The majority of the team’s work revolves around engagement, consultation and communications during the consenting or construction phase of projects. We have been involved in a range of high profile projects in the UK, across a range of sectors including:
Major rail schemes, such as East West Rail and King’s Cross
Major highways improvement schemes for Highways England, such as the A27 Arundel Bypass scheme and the A428 Black Cat to Caxton Gibbet
Schemes in construction including Burgess Hill (Homes England), Canada Water (British Land) and for the North London Waste Authority
You will have the opportunity to work on projects that are transforming infrastructure. Your role will include:
Supporting the the management and delivery of stakeholder engagement and communication activities for a range of projects, with a focus on pre-application consultation and engagement for infrastructure and other development schemes;
Leading on the development of materials such as virtual exhibitions, reports, newsletters, brochures and presentations which engage stakeholders of all audiences;
Supporting the growth of the stakeholder engagement service across AECOM;
Working closely with others disciplines across AECOM and other members of the stakeholder engagement team, carrying out communications and stakeholder engagement activities on projects
Helping to identify and draft new business opportunities, which will include promoting AECOM’s stakeholder engagement service to both internal and external audiences.
You will ideally have experience relevant to our business (e.g. communications, transport, energy, water, residential development, commercial development), and will be confident and organised in engaging a variety of stakeholders
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Prior to the Covid-19 pandemic, much of our work involved going out and meeting stakeholders and the community. We hope to pick this up again in the future and assume that you will be willing to work flexibly and to travel as and when required.
Experience in using Microsoft Office Suite. Some experience of Microsoft Teams tools would also be an advantage.
