Are you a Senior Project Manager looking to work on building projects that can change the world, projects that are always more complex and innovative than the last?

If so, we are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team in London to work on one of our Central London mixed-use commercial and residential developments. You will be joining a team of like-minded experts that have a passion for innovation and delivering cutting edge solutions.

About Our Team:

Our team has increased demand for individuals with front end design experience and contract administration experience. We are looking for confident and ambitious individuals that can demonstrate a balanced, robust and reasonable approach to design, procurement and delivery.

Job Responsibilities:

You will need to manage and take ownership of all aspects of the project, proactively engaging with the client, construction and design team to drive the project forward. You will be required to prepare succinct and accurate reports that look forward and identify clear actions and recommendations. When managing a contract, you will be required to positively engage with the construction and design team and work collaboratively to address risks and avoid claims and disputes whilst maintaining meticulous records to allow you to quickly respond to issues arising and form an informed and balanced opinion having due regard to the building contract.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have experience in working on large scale developments contractor side. Have experience in developing, maintaining and identifying emerging trends, critical paths, key milestones, preparing monthly reports, at both macro and micro levels, particularly during the preconstruction stage.

  • Have experience in the management of a variety of groundwork construction contracts.

  • Can lead the pre-tender, tender, post tender and then implement the pre-con works ready to hand over to the site team.

  • Be able to organise, direct, control and evaluate basement and superstructure construction works from start to finish according to programme, specifications and budget.

  • Have the ability to write Scopes and Programmes from design information.

  • Able to self administer and others with the contractual obligations and be able to discharge.

  • Able to manage the financial considerations around change orders and claims related to the contracts and sub-contracts.

  • Able to interrogate construction schedules and programmes; monitor tender and pre-construction progress against established schedules.

  • Able to administer contracts including files, setups, start-up, external progress reports, valuations, guarantees and establish the start of O+M submissions.

  • Work with Other/ Procurement department to ensure the work is provided for and the minimum cost is achieved with deliveries in a timely manner.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and team-building skills;

  • Highly motivated, able to work independently, diligent and with an eye for detail;

  • Experience in JCT contract administration;

  • Strong in setting up and implementing robust Project Management processes. Demonstrate financial acumen relating to viability and cashflows

  • Ability to produce formal reports and documents which clearly set out complex issues and recommendations

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Professional Qualification – ideally Project Management/ Construction/Engineering/Quantity Surveying Master’s Degree

  • Chartered Status with the MCIOB or other equivalent institution

  • APM affiliation preferred (as secondary accreditation)
