Job Description
The AECOM UK Development Infrastructure team in London is looking for an enthusiastic Senior Civil Engineer to expand its current team profile and capability.
The team support AECOM design teams throughout the UK and Ireland on a range of infrastructure projects with private and public sector clients of all types and across all sectors locally, regionally and globally as well as other internal and external multi-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.
Job responsibilities
Develop technical designs to support S38, S278 and S104 submissions.
Undertake a variety of technical assessments for new development.
Manage and undertake the gathering and review of planning data.
Prepare or supervise the preparation of presentations and present information to internal and external groups.
Manage small (or elements of larger) projects, managing the production of analysis and associated outputs ensuring outputs are delivered on time and to an excellent standard.
Provide updates to project managers/directors in terms of the progress of tasks in line with programmes.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Knowledge of S278 and S38 schemes including detailed highway design.
Knowledge of S104 schemes including detailed drainage design and hydraulic modelling.
Experience in the preparation and/or review of highways and drainage design.
Experience in the building of and/or review of hydraulic models using Micro Drainage experience in AutoCAD, Civils 3D, and/or RevIT.
Experience in traffic signage and road marking for highways schemes.
Suitable knowledge of relevant design standards including DMRB, Sewers for Adoption, local road standards and relevant national planning policy.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree qualification (or equivalent experience) in Civil Engineering.
Masters degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject - would be an advantage.
Experience in using GIS software such as MapInfo or ArcGIS - would be an advantage.
Full UK driver license.
