As a Senior Consultant you will be expected to work as part of a team to successfully structure, lead, manage and deliver capital investment and business transformation Programmes.

The role covers the whole of Programme lifecycle from initial inception, identification and definition; blueprint and business case development; Programme establishment and delivery; managing the tranches and benefits realisation; through to Programme closure.

In addition to core Programme Leadership, as a Senior Consultant within the Programme Management team, you will be expected to identify areas of specific interest and capability in the delivery of programme advisory services to clients.

Role Duties:

  • Support the Programme Management team in the delivery of its strategic goals in relation to capability, growth and commercial targets;

  • Support the delivery of large, complex Programme Management commissions involving multidisciplinary teams and diverse stakeholder groups;

  • Support the delivery of commissions to the appropriate quality standards and commercial expectations;

  • Implement a robust approach to risk identification, evaluation and mitigation to all commissions;

  • Ensure AECOM health, safety and environment requirements and consistently implemented;

  • Develop strong relationships with clients and members of the cross-functional teams to support successful Programme delivery;

  • Support Business Development opportunities with existing and new clients, including cross-selling opportunities within and without the Programme Management team;

  • Support the development of proposals throughout the entire bidding process; and

  • Identify opportunities to share knowledge and best practice and promote the Programme Management team both internally and externally with clients and relevant industry bodies.

  • Manages more complex projects that tend to be larger in scope and dollar, thereby increasing the potential for larger change orders and consequences of error.

  • May act independently as the IE representative with consulting firms and ensures that the final product reflects the original scope and budget requirements.

  • Manages projects which have greater complexity than a Program Manager II.

  • Increasing responsibility for leadership of direct reports.

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience in the delivery of public and private sector infrastructure, urban regeneration, sustainability, commercial, residential, government, healthcare, education or science projects and programmes;

  • Complex, multi-disciplinary Project and Programme experience essential;

  • Proven track record for delivery;

  • Comfortable engaging directly with Clients and Client team members;

  • Highly motivated with excellent industry network; and

  • Possess the ability to work across service lines;

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree level education, ideally Project or Programme Management/Construction/Engineering.

  • Minimum 5 years’ proven experience.

  • Managing Successful Programmes accredited (or international equivalent) preferred.

  • Prince 2 or APM accreditation preferred

  • Experience using Business Information tools preferred.
