AECOM is seeking to hire a Head of Asset Management and Advisory for Water, Europe. This role is flexible on location. You will have an established industry profile and be a strategic-thinker with talent for relationship development with experience at, or working directly with, c-suite level.
Our Water and infrastructure clients face pressures in customer care, resilience and strategic resource options, ESG, cost efficiency and optimisation. All of these are advisory access points to the delivery chain at an earlier and higher level and provide the platform for whole-life services from our established teams.
In this pivotal role leading our established water asset management service, you will drive the growth, development and delivery of our Asset Management and Advisory services. This is a key strategic development area within our Europe water business, with objectives including growth of client relationships, service capability and sales.
Drawing on a significant industry profile and track record in the regulatory, strategic or tactical asset management space in the water sector, you will share our passion for collaboration and delivering solutions that meet client, societal and environmental challenges, both now and in the long term.
You will operate across the Europe region, primarily focused on services to UK and Ireland water companies, but also to analogous clients in sector and in support of our global client base across our Europe operations. We anticipate the successful person will become a key figure in our international network of Asset Management and Advisory service leaders.
You are likely to be a recognised professional in the regulation, strategic or tactical asset management area or have management consulting experience
You will have strong technical understanding of asset planning or management in the water sector and the ability to think at strategic scales
You will need an appetite for building and shaping our business and will be given considerable support from our management team to achieve this.
You will exhibit strong collaboration and leadership skills
You will be able to demonstrate a track record of long-term trusted industry relationships
Create and lead AECOM’s strategy for this business, drawing on our existing expertise but expanding the depth of services and clients
Maintain and grow trusted key client relationships
Grow the pipeline of asset management and advisory work, enabling team capability and capacity growth around a reliable pipeline
Personally deliver high level advisory work to clients and guide our teams during the delivery of projects as Project Director
Champion innovation and tools, integrate digital and advanced analytics and form partnerships
Ensure a cohesive team, which draws upon resource from multiple locations, sectors and disciplines, leveraging this for the benefits of our clients and our team members’ development
Maximise opportunities to feed into delivery programmes, enabling AECOM to provide our broader range of engineering, environmental and commercial services
Work to raise the AECOM asset management and advisory brand as a thought leader
UK water industry background, ideally water company or consultant.
Experience leading a team or specific function within a previous organisation.
Your discipline/background is based in 'asset management’ or ‘asset planning’ or similar.
