Job Description

We are looking for an effective, organised, and personable Event Manager, with a wealth of experience, to join our growing regional marketing and communications team. Reporting to the Head of Strategic Marketing this role will be responsible for planning, promoting, and ensuring the smooth running of an event schedule and individual events for both internal and external audiences. These could span from all staff briefings, leader events to client facing industry events, some of which you are expected to attend. Most of them will be based in the United Kingdom, but a willingness to travel within region is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with strategic marketing and internal communications team to produce and manage schedule of regional events

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to produce detailed event briefs including timelines, venues, suppliers, hosts and/staffing, health and safety requirements security and budgets

  • Research, visit and check venues, suppliers, and contractors

  • Manage and coordinate suppliers and all event logistics (venue, catering, travel, audio and visual, branding, staffing)

  • Collaborate with internal communications and strategic marketing teams to promote events

  • Manage all pre-event planning including host briefing sessions and delegate packs where applicable

  • Manage all event guest queries, troubleshoot on the day of the event to ensure all runs smoothly

  • Oversee the dismantling and removal of the event, clearing venues efficiently

  • Manager post event debriefs cascading relevant findings to key stakeholders to inform future events and measure the return on investment.

  • Maintain relevant systems recording guest lists, responses, guest speakers etc

  • Ensuring event production is consistent with brand guidelines

  • Brainstorming and implementing new ideas, new ways of working.

  • Work alongside the Concierge team in our London, Regional HQ to manage our event space.

Qualifications

  • Operations experience working within a large, preferable professional services organisation

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for dealing with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

  • Strong organisational and plannig skills to coordinate the actions of multiple parties

  • Creative thinking skills to plan, design and deliver events that align with the objectives of the activity and the vision of stakeholders

  • Proficient in Microsoft packages including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, planning software and e-mail marketing

  • Basic budget experience to manage spend on events in partnership with Strategic Marketing and Internal Communication team

  • Must be personable, energetic, positive and enjoy working with people

  • Teams live experience

  • Client centric attitude, embracing the company brand and values

  • Understanding of GDPR and ability to advocate best practice to ensure compliance

  • Degree in Marketing, Business Studies, or related degree level education

  • Event management experience in a professional services environment
