Position Title Communications Specialist
Peru - Lima
AECOM is recruiting for a new project in South America entitled: Promotion of Best Environmental and Social Management Practices. The purpose of this activity is to facilitate multi-stakeholder agreement on Best Management Practices (BMPs) for the four priority sectors (hydro-power, roads, oil and gas, and mining), and then support the promotion, implementation, and monitoring/enforcement of these BMPs in the Amazon region. Countries of performance may include: Peru, Colombia and Brazil. All the below positions are technical with a strong preference for South American nationals from these three countries. Fluency in Spanish is a requirement for opportunities in Colombia and Peru. Brazilian Portuguese is a requirement for opportunities in Brazil.
Communications Specialist with demonstrated experience conceptualizing project goals, results, outcomes, and impacts for dissemination with diverse audiences and successful experience developing of targeted and effective communication strategies for key stakeholders in the Amazon region.
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in communications working with environmental projects financed by donors, preferably in Peru, Colombia, and/or Brazil
Knowledge on sustainable development and environmental and social issues in the Amazon
Practical experience in designing and implementing multimedia tools, products and campaigns for broad and diverse audiences, and communications initiatives for social behavior change
Bachelor of Communications, Marketing, Communication Behavior Change, or related discipline.
Written and spoken fluency in English and Spanish required, Portuguese preferred
Multilateral donor experience
Previous USAID experience
