AECOM has been appointed to deliver Shell Retail’s Capital Development Programme in the Benelux. During this period AECOM will provide Engineering Procurement and Construction Services to Shell in an end to end delivery process with a focus on safety and operational excellence.
AECOM is currently building a dedicated team with experts for this programme and as Project Manager you will become part of a growing AECOM Benelux organization with offices in Belgium and the Netherlands.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Frequent travel and time split between working on the client sites, AECOM office and from home.
Be a Member of the Project Delivery Team and report to the Operations Manager
Responsible for the operational delivery of all Build Projects, Build Programmes, and Dealer Projects.Deliver end to end project services within programme deadlines with a set of clear performance indicators.
Show a strong track record in operational delivery of HSSE processes and communication because HSSE is the most important of the KPI’s
Strong interaction with the Client Team to maintain seamless communications and client confidence on all project delivery progress
Strong management and leadership skills to motivate contractors and colleagues and provide excellence in execution to cope with the fast moving and extremely demanding programme
Manage the delivery of client and AECOM HSSE requirements
Manage the delivery of projects to the programme
Manage the delivery of projects within agreed budgets
Deliver savings on build projects and Programme, where appropriate
Manage the delivery of dealer projects and programmes to approved time and cost
Further Generic Tasks:Attend regular safety meetings, ensure messages conveyed to the operational staff and contractors, manage the safety messages into the projects and audit to give confidence that safety is being implemented in accordance with client and AECOM HSSE processes and procedures
Feedback safety learnings to the Safety Manager to provide continuous learning for the whole team
Provide safety training for operational staff and look for opportunities to give training to the supply chain
Be a Member of Project Managers Delivery Team responsible for delivering projects to time, cost and quality standards
Lead Project Meetings to deliver all the stages of project development; delivery and close out, for example, scoping visits; design reviews; post tender meetings; cost plan reviews; pre-start meetings; regular site progress meetings; high quality handovers; financial close meetings; and safety audits
Ensure compliance to all brand standards for Dealer projects, while giving the solutions sufficient flexibility to meet the needs of the dealer business
Manage the supply chain partners will form a large part of this role; the candidate’s duty is to ensure that they perform to required and agreed project execution plans to meet the clients desired outcome
Ensure that work is delivered within the agreed values of AECOM and the client
Qualifications
Engineering Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum’ experience in an operational role
Fluent Dutch and English language skills are required
A leading example in compliance and ethics
HSSE Leadership
Confident and capable individual with strong client focus
Recognized construction or design qualification (or similar experience)Experienced in managing a diverse operational team
Strong track record in delivering projects in a fast moving and challenging environment
Ability to work under pressure to tight dead-lines
Good grasp of IT, particularly Excel and Word
Valid driver's license
Additional Information
