AECOM Process Engineer - Wastewater in Leeds, United Kingdom

Job Summary

We are looking to grow our capabilities in the process engineering team providing Water and Wastewater treatment design and consultancy services to both water and industrial clients.

Job Duties:

The successful Process Engineer will undertake process engineering design and support activities. As a Process Engineer you will be expected to display some leadership qualities and will have direct contact with clients and contractors.

  • Process equipment design,

  • Generation of PFD’s, P&ID’s & Mass / Energy balances,

  • Writing of technical and tender specifications,

  • Decision making and process troubleshooting,

  • Safety review participation – inc HAZOP/HAZID,

  • Process safety,

  • A working knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, processes and procedures

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience in water/wastewater process design, operation, or optimization in the municipal sector.

  • Excellent communication skills written/verbal.

  • Abilities in client liaison, and solution development.

  • Excellent IT skills, familiar with relevant computer applications and simulation software.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry/Biological Science.

  • Membership of recognized professional institutions preferred.

  • Should be a chartered engineer/scientist or working towards obtaining chartership.
