AECOM are looking to hire a Graphic Designer within their Bid Team to be responsible for creating exceptional visual concepts and designs to support E&GE’s business growth, including for strategic bids, marketing collateral (create, revise, maintain) and projects across a range of channels.
The role sits within the Work Winning function and supports the bidding team plus a range of internal stakeholders based on business priorities. As a Graphic Designer you will have the ability to create visual concepts that convey client-focused tone and synergy, along with AECOM’s technical prowess and understanding of the key client issues.
The Graphic Designer will also mentor other members of the Work Winning team to raise its all-round graphics capabilities / competencies on a variety of platforms including InDesign, Word, PowerPoint. This role requires creative skills and experience of producing best-in-class designs. The ability to multitask across a variety of projects and channels is also essential, along with being extremely organised and self-motivated.
Produce high quality design concepts and graphic elements for strategic pursuits, liaising with the bid manager and individual graphic owners as required
Create, revise and maintain strategic marketing materials to support communications with clients and the wider market, including digital brochures, web content, capability statements in a variety of media formats
Support selected strategic projects needing client-facing graphics eg. for reporting
Design and management of content for client (internal and external) presentations
Take full responsibility for creating and sourcing all graphics artwork
Ensure all graphic artwork created follows the corporate branding guidelines; seek relevant approvals from the central Marketing team as appropriate
Be responsible for quality control and organisation of the Graphics working area on the bid Teams site
Be able to work under pressure to strict deadlines, prioritising tasks
Mentor other members of the Work Winning team to improve graphics capabilities
Specific Skills Required
Experience of working in a similar role within a Bidding envrironment
Extensive experience and capability using Adobe Creative Suite specifically XD, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier and / or Aftereffects
UI and UX design, or Design Engineer
Expertise in the operation of an Apple Mac
Experience of developing innovative design concepts in a corporate environment, specifically for strategic proposals / bids and customer-facing marketing materials
Understanding of best practice marketing, with an inspiring portfolio demonstrating creative graphical communication across digital, social or static form
Understand the project / purpose of collateral to ensure client messages are reflected in the concept and detail
A strong understanding of and creative approach to brand identity and visual aesthetics
The confidence to present and explain ideas to originators and stakeholders
Ability to work positively under pressure, as part of a team with a constantly changing workload
Ability to learn new skills, stay abreast of technical and digital design developments and introduce these to E&GE’s graphics tool box.
Work with and contribute to UX and UI thinking and design across all platforms
