Job Summary

AECOM is immediately hiring qualified Unlicensed Aircraft Mechanic in support of U.S. Army Aviation maintenance operations at our Lakehurst, NJ location.

Essential Responsibilities:

Perform the full range of airframe and engine maintenance, repair, modifications, inspections as servicing of aircraft in accordance with approved methods, techniques and practices and certifies work accomplished.

Ability to troubleshoot engines and systems.

Use the Federal Supply System; read and understand mechanical manuals and schematics; read and interpret all instruments; use special test equipment and tools.

Perform full system checkout on all aircraft systems, performs mechanic test flight duties, perform complete servicing of aircraft.

Be familiar with the Army TAMMS Systems.

The mechanic may be required to accompany Research and Development aircraft on project flights away from worksite and perform maintenance on the aircraft at locations other than Joint Base MDL, Lakehurst, NJ.

This is a union position falls under a collective bargaining agreement (CBA). The initial salary is $38.42/hr. Following a satisfactory 60-day performance evaluation, the rate will increase by .30 Cents per hour.

Because this is a union position, you will be required to join the union which includes an initiation fee and monthly union dues.

Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent is required. Minimum of four (4) years total Aviation Maintenance Experience, plus a civilian or military aviation technical school certification. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
