Job Summary

Purpose and Scope:

Maintain and administer quality and safety programs to ensure a safe and compliant work environment. Maintain adherence to requirements IAW DOD military standards and as established under ISO 9001-2000 , AS9100 and FAA Part-145.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Assist QA Manager in maintaining health and safety manuals. Comply with corporate, state, federal and local regulations and contract requirements.

  • Provide guidance to assist in the interpretation of and compliance with quality related contract requirements.

  • Maintain safety, health and environmental records. Support issuance of work permits for continued improvements of quality and safety.

  • Conduct special evaluations, quality surveys and audits. Compile reports and findings of surveys and audits for company officials for review and make action recommendations as required. Conduct accident investigations. Complete and maintain required reporting.

  • Maintain current files of all technical documents, instructions, procedures and requirements necessary for implementation of an effective quality assurance program.

  • Manage Technical Inspectors and ongoing work efforts on hangar deck.

  • Serve as Chief Inspector for FAA Part-145 Certification

  • Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Bachelor degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering, Business Management or related field and 5 years of experience or equivalent training/experience.

  • FAA A&P License

  • Good written communication skills; working knowledge of word­ processing and integrated software applications; organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.

  • Position requires familiarity with and ability to stay current in general industry standards

  • Familiarity with DOD Military, Army regulations and maintenance manuals.

  • Army rotary and fixed wing aircraft experience a plus.

  • Position may require travel.

  • Position requires the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.

  • Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.

Other Responsibilities:
