AECOM Engineering Technician I – LASSO Contract Safety & Mission Assurance in Kennedy Space Center, Florida

Job Summary

Purpose and Scope:

Provide support to the Safety and Mission Assurance staff in a variety of environmental, safety, and quality tasks to include oversight of safety operations within the various LASSO managed laboratories, processing of hazardous and controlled waste and Environmental, Safety and Health (Industrial Hygiene) (EHS) programmatic support.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Laboratory environmental management activities

  • Hazardous and controlled waste management/disposal and database tracking

  • Assist in accomplishing fall protection equipment inspections

  • Support incident/mishap investigations

  • Maintain laboratory placarding

  • Participate in routine safety and environmental inspections

  • Support chemical inventory process

  • Performs other classification related and associated duties as required

Other Responsibilities:

Minimum Requirements

Vocational/technical training beyond high school and at least 1 year of job-related experience or equivalent (EHS/Quality). Good communications and analytical skills; working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs.
