AECOM Hunt has an immediate need for an experienced Electrical Construction Assistant Project Manager for our ongoing construction project at JFK airport.
Under moderate supervision assists the Project Management team with management administration on a moderate size and scope project, or a portion of a large size and scope project, following set guidelines for completion of tasks.
Employee receives moderate to limited supervision working from objectives set by supervisor.
Employee organizes and carries out most assignments in accordance with standard practices, instructions, or previous training. Employee handles some unusual situations independently.
May interface with design team.
May work closely with BIM team and use modelling software.
May interact with Superintendents to address project questions/issues.
Assists with and monitors change orders.
May assist with regulatory compliance and financial reporting.
Review project costs and scheduling to ensure completion of project within budget and in conformance with contract.
Work with document control systems, project management systems and other software or databases to keep information flow up-to-date and accurate.
Attend meetings and report on project tasks as needed.
May provide technical direction and guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies.
Minimum Requirements :
BS Electrical Engineering or similar curriculum and 2 years of experience in electrical construction, or AA/AS and 4 years of relevant experience, or HS/GED and 6 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Requirements :
Experience in Project Management, preferably from a large mega-construction project.
Airport experience preferred.
Experience on large infrastructure electrical construction projects.
MEP experience in scheduling, management of subcontractors and vendors.
Experience in the coordination of low voltage building systems.
Experience with standard construction documentation such as estimating, change orders, RFI’s, punch list etc.
Knowledgeable in national and local electrical codes.
Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Offered rate of compensation (New York City only) will be based on individual education, qualification, experience and work location. The salary range for the position is $36.70 - $67.89 hourly (non-exempt).

This position does not include relocation.
This position is located in Jamaica, Queens, New York, and is not hybrid nor remote.
