Position Title Estimating / Proposal Assistant

Shimmick Construction, a division of AECOM, is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Estimating / Proposal Assistant for immediate employment for the Irvine, CA office.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
Plan and Facilitate Estimating Meetings
Order and distribute plans/specs and all other required documentation
Maintain bid schedule and estimating calendar
Handle pre-bid submissions (bid documents), and post-bid documents (up to contract award)
Request bonds and insurance requirements
Manage Good Faith Effort requirements which includes documentation, advertising and outreach
Attend Pre-bid and Outreach meetings as required
Manage estimating team on bid day, as well as handling all electronic bid submissions
Maintain subcontractor database (SmartBidNet)
Research clients, market trends, upcoming projects, and background information
Participate actively in the development of RFQ/RFP responses, including writing, editing, obtaining information for project write-ups and resumes
Assist with organization and submission of proposals which includes completion of forms, requesting signatures and printing, assembly and delivery of proposal package.
Create, update and maintain project photos, resumes, references and collateral database (Cosential)
Preparation of marketing materials including PowerPoints, newsletters, brochures, advertisements, etc.
Assists in other marketing and/or outreach efforts as requested
2+ years' previous office administration experience in Estimating and the Bid Process, preferably with Public Works
Detailed and organized professional
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications: Outlook, Word, Publisher, PowerPoint and Excel
Proficient in Adore Acrobat
Familiarity with Salesforce, Cosential, In-Design and SmartBidNet a plus
Highly motivated, active team player with a positive attitude
Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication
High level of computer proficiency
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to solve problems and make independent decisions and judgments
Capable of working independently, juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Ability to juggle multiple tasks within tight deadlines
Quick and competent learner
Experience in the construction, architectural, or engineering industry is a plus
