Job Summary
Shimmick Construction, an AECOM Company, is seeking a Construction Engineer to join our Southwest Group. This challenging position will provide an excellent growth opportunity while improving the infrastructure of Southern California.
Responsible for managing the construction engineering functions on a construction project to ensure adherence to all engineering construction plans and specifications.
Under direct supervision, performs routine duties requiring knowledge of basic engineering principles.
Limited exercise of judgment is required on details of work.
Performs specific and limited portions of broader assignments.
Spends large percentage of time performing estimating take-offs and performing walk-downs for quantity tracking purposes, reporting of installed quantities, performing field inspections to verify adherence to design.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field + 2 years of relevant experience or AA/AS (US) + 4 years of relevant experience or High School Diploma/GED + 6 years of relevant experience
Construction/Civil Construction experience is required
Preferred Qualifications
Cal Trans experience
Structures experience
