Job Summary
Job Duties:
Manages, coordinates and leads smaller, less complex landscape design projects independently with less oversight. Structures teams for these projects with clear understanding of the project’s roles and responsibilities.
Leads client meetings and take ownership of the deliverable structure and content.
Reads, qualifies, quantifies and graphically represents public realm standards applicable to projects and design tasks. Determines the correct source of public realm, sustainability standards (related to the public realm) and regulatory guidelines per region.
Clearly demonstrates knowledge of the public realm design principles with the ability to translate vision frameworks established by senior staff into principles and objectives.
Demonstrates a clear descriptive writing of landscape design principles and guidelines.
Actively participates in internal and external workshops with ability to put together summary outcome reports. Leads teams of designers to prepare adequate material for workshops and client presentation following a clear story line set by design managers.
Delivers designs independently with direction from senior team.
Delivers entire technical landscape packages independently with review from senior team.
Understands all applicable authorities’ requirements and coordinates with various discipline’s technical inputs into a project.
Full understanding of the planting and irrigation requirements/standards and guidelines as per the region.
Understands and learns to manage FINANCE REPORT/ PROJECT FINANCIAL STATUS from PM & Project lead.
Provides updates for weekly studio/resourcing meetings.
Fair knowledge of the market and help in reviewing landscape cost plans on projects.
Gain experience on site for an ongoing landscape-built project and try to resolve key issues with the help of the senior team.
Understands bid requirements and able to support on putting together bids technical approach and methodologies while supporting on delivery structure, coordinating input and implementing commercial aspects of bids.
Organises internal libraries and update project sheets for ongoing projects.
Develops innovative design ideas and solutions through digital tools and personal skills.
Be an advocate of quality procedures applicable to the landscape design Technical practice group and apply continuously thorough self-checks and reviews of deliverables before being shared. Understand and reviews the documents as per PDS deliverable (QA/QC checks).
Enhances standards of developed landscape design graphics (diagrams, photoshop and Lumion renders) across projects and documents the same for wider team use.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters degree in the area of expertise.
Registered professional membership.
