AECOM Associate, Social Technical Lead in Indonesia, Indonesia

Job Summary

Working mainly with the Impact Assessment and Permitting (IAP) Team of the Environment Business Line of PT AECOM Indonesia, while managing a small team of 4 to 5 consultants and social-related support

Delivery of environmental and social consulting services, focusing in social risk management, social impact assessment, , land acquisition and resettlement planning, cultural heritage protection, indigenous people assessment and management planning, stakeholder assessment and engagement planning, as well as monitoring and assisting the implementation of social-related management plans, for both private and government development projects

Provide advice to Clients regarding application of Indonesia regulations and International best practices standards (such as IFC PS, World Bank,ADB Safeguard Policy, and Eqautor principles applicability) related to social risk management, including impact assessment and and management planning.

Leading in social reports writing (in both English and Bahasa), coordinate site visits, surveys and engaging with project stakeholders, and data analysis and assessment.

Management of projects and proposals, including preparation of technical and commercial budget for proposal, budget management for awarded proposal, managing contracts with client and sub-contractors, liaise with Admin and Finance on invoicing to client and sub-contractors, liaise with Clients on technical, commercial and project management matters.

Minimum Requirements

  • Recognized Master Degree in Social Science or relevant environmental study (e.g. Sociology, Development

Studies), international master or postgraduate degree is an advantage.

  • A minimum of 10 years of working experiences in Consultancy, preferably in social impact assessment,

management planning, community program implementation, related social research (e.g. cultural heritage and

development projects.

  • Extensive experiences with consultancy work, including leading team and Project Management for social

consultancy services.

  • Highly familiar and experience in the application of international standards in social fields and Bankable

Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) guidelines and frameworks, including IFC performance

standards, World Bank ESF and social standards, ADB safeguard policy statements, and Equator Principles as

well as Indonesian regulatory EIA (AMDAL).

  • Knowledge and experiences in stakeholder mapping and stakeholder engagement strategies

  • Good communication skills, comfortable in dealing with clients and consultation/ engagement with project’s

stakeholders

  • Willing to travel for project assignment to projects site and work at flexible time hours

  • Ability to undertake complex and interdisciplinary social studies

  • Excellent writing skills, particularly for social reporting (writing sample may be requested at a later stage of the

recruitment process)

  • Fluent/ very good in English spoken and excellent in English writing
