AECOM TET III-V Highway Inspector in Hunt Valley, Maryland

The Transportation Business Line of AECOM is actively seeking a Project Inspector/Engineer (TET III to TET V) for immediately employment; the employee will be assigned to the Office of Construction in Hanover, MD. This qualified Project Engineer applicant will provide inspection support services to project location across the Central Districts of MDSHA. Duties would include:
Review daily activities on project sites and ensure they are being conducted safely.
Attend and if needed Conduct Progress Meeting with Contractor
A working knowledge and ability to review a CPM Schedule.
Reviews construction, maintenance or traffic projects for compliance with project specifications and plans.
Ability to read and understand construction drawings
Monitors contract performance and project status for major construction and maintenance projects.
Maintains records and prepares reports pertaining to public works installations and projects
Compile quantities and reviews construction reports and other data.
Coach, mentor, and recommend training for staff
Must have good communication skills; oral and written.
Must be able to read and interpret plans for construction projects.
Provide guidance to contractor personnel on the proper use of Temporary Traffic Control devices/TTC standards.
Basic computer skills; MS Office
Excellent time management skills; self-motivator, team oriented
Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Works under general supervision.
May assist with training entry-level employees.
Responsible for monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties.
Performs daily field inspections and maintains inspection records.
Participates in punch lists, testing, and commissioning.
Tracks quality assurance progress.
Provides input to documentation for area and equipment turnovers.
- HS + 2 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Department of Transportation (DOT)
