AECOM Sustainability Consultant II in Houston, Texas
Job Summary
AECOM is actively seeking Sustainability Consultant II for immediate, full-time employment. The position will support our growing decarbonization and sustainability practice and will deliver on current projects/workload, future pursuits and other industry and business development opportunities.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
Support project teams and network with colleagues
Compile environmental, social, and economic data, organizing information in spreadsheets, software and other means
Research climate change mitigation and sustainability topics, including industry, market, and regulatory drivers, as well as stakeholder concerns and incorporate findings into projects and client briefings
Exhibit an understanding of local, regional, and national policies and guidance related to climate science and climate change planning
Demonstrate knowledge in the climate change arena, including having a solid understanding of the current state of the science including a working knowledge of the latest Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) reports
Greenhouse gas or carbon inventory and forecasting development using relevant protocols (e.g. USEPA, local regulators, WRI/ WBCSD, ISO)
Work within the practice and other AECOM discipline groups (e.g., information systems, engineering, planning) to incorporate findings and ensure sustainability is adequately integrated into project delivery
Occasional travel can be expected, but will likely not be regular or extensive

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or relevant field (e.g., resource economics, architecture, engineering, public policy)
2+ years' professional experience in climate change / sustainability planning or management, environmental management or auditing, or climate policy and regulation
U.S Citizenship is required for this role.
Preferred Qualifications
4+ years' professional experience in climate change / sustainability planning, environmental auditing, climate policy or regulation
Relevant Master’s Degree
Technical experience on decarbonization, climate change, or sustainability projects or can show verified experience supporting relevant programs.
Experience with at least one greenhouse gas inventory protocol or standard (e.g., USEPA, local regulators, WRI/ WBCSD, ISO, industry recognized standards not listed can be considered), or experience with at least one reporting and disclosure guidelines or standards (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD, TNFD, GRESB, CDP, SBTi, industry recognized standards not listed can be considered)
Will be adaptable and flexible, showing a willingness and ability to take on new tasks or areas
Exhibits client awareness and focus and be expected to grow that skill at AECOM
Direct experience with one or more greenhouse gas inventory protocol or standard (e.g., USEPA, local regulators, WRI/ WBCSD, ISO, industry recognized standards not listed can be considered)
Direct experience with one or more reporting and disclosure guidelines or standards (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD, IIRC, CDP, SBTi, industry recognized standards not listed can be considered)
Direct project experience with at least one of the following:
Life-cycle assessments (LCA) with Simapro, GaBi, GREET, CA-GREET, or equivalent
Accreditation or certification with sustainability assessment systems

Relocation is not available for this position.
Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $59,284 - $109,677
