AECOM Stock Plan Administrator in Houston, Texas

Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Stock Plan Administrator who will be responsible for end-to-end administration of the Company’s international equity program, partnering with Finance, Tax, Payroll, Human Resources, Legal and third-party agents to ensure compliance with governing stock plan documents and internal processes along with state, federal and foreign regulations and securities laws. The Stock Plan Administrator will also assist with various ad-hoc equity-related projects as needed.

The ideal candidate will provide a superior level of customer service with a high level of accuracy, ability to focus on detail, and is a person who takes pride in delivering high quality work on a timely basis. This position will report to the Director of Executive Compensation. This position will be primarily remote-based from any US location.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administer the Company’s international equity program, processing equity transactions in compliance with governing stock plan documents and internal processes along with state, federal and foreign regulations and securities laws;

  • Develop and deliver timely documentation and communications related to stock awards;

  • Work with payroll and tax to ensure compliance for all equity related tax requirements;

  • Work closely with the global mobility team to monitor all cross-border movement for equity and tax implications and take appropriate actions;

  • Maintain all equity award related data in a third-party database and periodically validate accuracy of database information;

  • Generate and review for accuracy, recurring and ad-hoc reports for FP&A, Accounting, Payroll, HR, Internal Audit and Legal teams for purposes of but not limited to Form 4, Form 10-Q, Form 10-K, Proxy Statement, and Company stock ownership guidelines;

  • Maintain proper documentation of equity-related policies, procedures and controls;

  • Serve as primary contact for audit requests associated with stock plan administration and SOX requirements;

  • Manage and track the 10b5-1 plans;

  • Manage company blackouts;

  • Monitor share usage and reserve levels;

  • Serve as primary liaison with the Company’s brokerage firm and transfer agent to maintain employee equity and shareholder accounts;

  • Support employee understanding of and answer questions on equity awards and stock accounts; in doing so, develop, maintain, and deliver educational materials and customized resources on the Company’s intranet site;

  • Provide excellent customer service while prioritizing and satisfying multiple questions and requests from partners, senior management and others supporting the understanding of stock plan services, overall plan design and individual transactions;

  • Keep up to date on current legislative developments and adjust administration process as needed;

  • Assist with special projects and transactions as assigned.

About Corporate General

  • As a member of the corporate team, you will work with professionals at our headquarters in downtown Los Angeles, California and in business offices around the world to advance AECOM’s global strategies and priorities. With positions around the globe, the Corporate team includes finance, legal, human resources, information technology, marketing and communications, and real estate functions.

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS plus 4 years of relevant stock plan and transfer agent administration experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications

  • CEP (Certified Equity Professional) Certification;

  • Public company stock plan and transfer agent administration experience handling daily operations, reporting, audit/reconciliation, and employee customer service in a fast-paced global company;

  • Working knowledge of legal, tax and accounting rules associated with equity compensation;

  • Experience managing a third-party stock administration system (knowledge of the Merrill Lynch equity administration platform a plus);

  • Experience managing a third-party transfer agent (knowledge of the Computershare transfer agent administration platform a plus);

  • Experience working with a HRIS system (knowledge of Workday a plus);

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, capable of interfacing with all levels of company employees with tact and diplomacy;

  • Well-developed problem-solving skills;

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and achieve results;

  • Extreme attention to detail and ability to execute tasks with no or minimal supervision;

  • Intermediate Excel skills;

  • Ability to handle confidential information;

  • Possess enthusiasm, a positive attitude and ability to perform as a team player, which may include supporting non-equity related tasks (e.g., benefits, global comp, incentive comp, or executive comp assignments).
