AECOM National Design Build Chief Process Technical Lead in Houston, Texas

The Design Build Water Division of AECOM is seeking a Senior Level Chief Technical Lead with a specialty in the area of Designing Wastewater Process Systems. This position can be located anywhere in the United States., Chelmsford, Massachusetts preferred. AECOM’s National Water Design Build Center of Excellence is executing all of AECOM Design Center America’s at risk water design work. This role will assist the AECOM Design Build Chief Engineer in formulating a strategy and preliminary process design for design build proposals of major projects with high contract value.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Conduct wastewater process design and modeling using Biowin as well as other techniques
Participating in concept designs, proposal development, detailed design and project execution
Design of wastewater unit operations for liquid and solid stream treatment
Process design support for multiple projects in various geographies
Guide Project Managers in the facilitation of activities relating to executing detailed multi-discipline design through AECOM’s design centers
Serves as technical expert in their domain, recognized as the 'go-to' expert internally and externally
Provides guiding direction and ultimate oversight of engineering engagements.
Sets direction and goals for technology and/or business line.
External spokesperson on technical engineering issues.
Leads the technology strategy for individual's area of expertise.
Technical point of contact for strategic clients and member of AECOM senior leadership team.
- Bachelor’s Degree + 12 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Master's or Doctorate Degree in civil, environmental, sanitary, or chemical engineering
Professional Engineers license (P.E.)
15+ years of experience in wastewater process design and unit operations
Experience with design-build or similar at-risk project delivery
Water process design experience would be a plus
Proficiency with Biowin modelling software
Good understanding of project delivery and ability to facilitate technical discussions – proven engineering skills
Willing and able to travel - approximately 15%
Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required
