Job Summary

The Design Services Consulting Group (DCS) of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented environmental compliance specialist in support of commercial/manufacturing/industrial clients for immediate hire in the Houston area. The appropriate qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an understanding of general science and engineering concepts, practices and standards. This position has a great potential for career growth. The successful candidate will be part of a diverse team of engineers and scientists that are responsible for EHS compliance, reporting, permitting, safety compliance and environmental field sampling/monitoring in the Central Region with emphasis in Houston. Must have a valid driver’s license

Major Functions

  • Assists with compiling and reviewing documents for permit submittals.

  • Assists in preparing and reviewing regulatory reports for submittal to relevant agencies. Develop and maintain excellent agency relationships.

  • Perform and/or oversee implementation activities for environmental sampling, environmental plans/permitting/reporting on behalf of private and public sector clients.

  • Organizes and responds to internal and external environmental needs in support of AECOM's projects for public and private sector clients.

  • Wastewater monitoring and reporting;

  • Emissions monitoring;

  • Air Program reports and submittals (Title V Deviation reports, semi-annual MACT and NSPS reports, annual emission inventories, LDAR, GHG, etc.);

  • Hazardous waste management (inspections, manifesting, reporting, waste minimization); and

  • Emissions event reporting for plant upsets.

Minimum Requirements

BS/BA and 8+ years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications

BS/BA and 10+ years of relevant experience
