AECOM Damage Assessor (Disaster Recovery) in Houston, Texas
AECOM is seeking a Damage Assessor to be based in either Baton Rouge, LA; Austin, TX or Houston, TX.

Mobilize quickly for local or interstate travel to the affected area
Inspect 4-6 sites per field day
Schedule site visits by phone with program Applicants, grouping site visits geographically
Conduct thorough residential inspections, including all required photos, measurements, functional tests, inspection documents and an interview with the Applicant.
Develop detailed scopes of work and a sketch of the dwelling using Xactimate, both for completed repairs and needed repairs
Complete all additional program-required inspection documents
QC work effectively prior to submission for final QC
Keep up with the evolving needs of the program, including policy and procedural revisions
Submit properly documented reports within a set time frame.
Cooperate fully with any requests for revisions or additional information.
High School Diploma + six (6) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Level I Xactimate certification
5+ years of cumulative experience in CDBG-DR damage assessments and/or NFIP claims
Working knowledge of IRC 2012, NEC 2014
Level II or above Xactimate certification preferred
Familiarity with HUD Housing Quality Standards preferred
Work location is currently Southeast Texas/Southwest Louisiana
